Import files

Using Import files user can create new object(s) in IMiS Table by importing them from file system. It works only with IMiS/ARc as storage server and only if default storage server is selected (see Default storage server for more details).

A dialog box appears, where user can select documents (file) from file system.

In the next step files are imported on IMiS/ARC storage server. Object mime types are selected automaticlly based on files extension and document types settings in IMiS Document types administration (see IMiS Document Types Administration for more details). If file extension does not exist in IMiS Document types administration document, then dialog box for document type selection is presented to user as seen in the picture below.

This list is created from IMiS Document Types Administration (see IMiS Document Types Administration for more details) document in selected IMiS Administration database. On the end, user has to type description of object via the dialog box presented in the picture below.

User can type description manually or can select it from predefined list. Predefined list is defined in IMiS Setup document in Domino application (see Miscellaneous settings for more details).

Administrator could allow or prevent this operation with appropriate Restrictions settings (see Restrictions Settings for more details).
