Destination

The Destination category of the Profile settings is used to set location and file type of scanned document.

File format:

There are many available file formats in the Image type combobox, each has it's own set of compression and color format values, but only the multipage file formats are appropriate for IMiS/BatchScan. There are four multipage image types available:

• Tagged Image File Format (*.TIF)
• Adobe Portable Document Format (*.PDF)
• FAX Image Documents (*.DCX)
• IBM Mixed Object Document Content Architecture, MO:DCA (*.MDA)

Note: IMiS/BatchScan is optimized to work with TIFF file format and it is the recommended file format to use.

File System:

The Folder is the location where the scanned documents will be created and has to be specified on profile creation. The File root value is the left part of the scanned documents file name. The right part is the four digit counter that is automatically incremented for every new scanned document.
File root can also include format specifiers to dynamically construct document filename. Here is the list of available format specifiers:

After you select Image type make also sure the selected Compression and Color format correspond to the Mode setting in the Scanner category (see Scanner settings for more details).

Note: IMiS/BatchScan supports batch scanning with the image type that does not support multiple images.
