Annotations category
Annotations category of the Preferences dialog contains some useful settings regarding annotations in TIFF documents (see Annotations for more details).
In the Annotations format group box select annotations save format:
- Wang compatible format is compatible with image viewer "Imaging for Windows".
- Pixel Translations format is compatible with viewers that use Pixel translations toolkit.
In the Annotations options group box you can:
- set annotation tools visible in all mouse modes, not only when annotation mouse mode is activated (see Mouse mode for more details).
- set default annotation tool mode. Use sticky mode to keep current annotation tool active after use, since normally you have to select it again to create another annotation. Note that this setting applies to documents that are created or opened after closing the Preferences dialog. You can (de)activate sticky mode with the Sticky tool button on the annotation toolbar.
- set how to put custom annotation on image. With this box checked all custom annotations are put on image where user decide to put it.
Default settings group box is used to set some annotation tools default properties. You can set the default font of the Text annotation, hilite color for Hilite annotation, redact color for Redaction annotation and the line thickness for Arrow (shaft and head/tail frame thickness), Freehand, Box, Ellipse and Polyline (frame thickness) annotation. You can always set annotation items after creating them with different properties then these default ones.
In the Stamp location group box select default image for stamp annotation tool.
