Case:

IMiS/OCR Server 8.x.1102 versions are released. Version 8.9.1102 introduces new Microsoft Office 2007 output formats and other minor features and fixes, some of them apply to other versions as well.

Description:

What's new:
* New Microsoft Word 2007 output format (applies to 8.9.1102)
* New Microsoft Excel 2007 output format (applies to 8.9.1102)
* New Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 output format (applies to 8.9.1102)
* Support for new output parameters (O= docx, xlsx, pptx) in IMiS OCR Server Request (applies to 8.9.1102)
* Background color mode setting in RTF export parameters (applies to 8.9.1102)
* Inherit default OCR language option populates default language in the selected languages list
* Hide splash screen option in Preferences dialog
* Highlight uncertain character color now defaults to current color when color dialog is opened
* Conversion of images is now performed after OCR engine has tried to open them and failed
* Reintroduced Notes ID password setting in Preferences dialog
* Service description includes web service provider functionality

Bugfixes:
* Fixed page size in RTF output format enabled (applies to 8.9.1102)
* Saving webservice PDFA params to database fix (PDF values were used instead of PDFA) (applies to 8.9.1102)
* Write Extended Character Attributes in XML format depends on Write Character Attributes setting (applies to 8.9.1102)
* Retain editable page layout & Retain exact page layout options removed from RTF Layout setting (applies to 8.5.1102)
* Up/down buttons for selected languages in Preferences and JobEditor fix
* Server stops on Windows log off and after login it is not working fix
* Server being stopped from Services console fix
* Adding webservice job binding(s) after unsuccessful server start fix
* Menu command Stop stays checked when failing to stop OCR processing Notes job fix
* Reset OCR progress after OCR processing on Notes job is finished
* Control tab order on Preference & JobEditor dialogs

- Intel® any Pentium x86 or x86_64 processor 800Mhz (latest multicore chips are recommended)
- USB port for hardware protection key
- 1GB RAM (2GB or more recommended)
- 512MB disk space (1GB or more recommended)
- Using OCR Server with Domino infrastructure (MAIL & DATABASE job): minimum IBM Lotus Notes Client version 5.0.3 / 6.5.3 / 7.0.0 / 8.0 / 8.5 (NOT SUPPORTED: Versions 6.0.x incl. 6.0.3 / 6.5.x incl. 6.5.2); recommended IBM Lotus Notes Client version 5.0.13 / 6.5.6 / 7.0.4 / 8.0.2 / 8.5.x
