Setting IMiS/OCR Server as webservice

Case: IMiS/OCR Server can be set up to run as a webservice, enabling a programmable remote optical recognition of image documents. Clients can communicate to IMiS/OCR Server over HTTP protocol using SOAP standard. WSDL style used to describe IMiS/OCR Server webservice interface is RPC/Encoded.

Description:

Open Job Editor dialog from Tools menu in IMiS/OCR Server main window. Create new job with New button, then enter job name and select Webservice job type in the General section of Job Settings.



In the HTTP Server section select the IP address and Port where you want a webservice to listen to the requests. You can set recognition parameters for this webservice job in the OCR Settings section. These settings are used when webservice request do not specify them. Save the webservice job with OK button.



Start IMiS/OCR Server with Start command available through Actions menu. You can now access webservice info page in the browser using IP and port entered in the HTTP server section of the Job Editor dialog (e.g. http://192.168.92.181:1025). WSDL document that describes the webservice is accessible under the WSDL link (e.g. http://192.168.92.181:1025/wsdl/IMiSOCRServer)
