Case:
IMiS/OCR Server 7.6.907 RC released with major new features including ability to set more than one recognition language and using IMiS/OCR Server as a webservice.
Description:
What's new:
* multiple recognition languages: more than one recognition language can now be set in IMiS/OCR server so that documents containing more than one language can be properly handled
* webservice job type: IMiS/OCR server can now be used as a webservice to allow custom clients to programmatically optically recognize documents over standard SOAP interface
* application job type changes: format of ProcessedObjs multi-value LN item values is redefined to allow more control over associated full-text LN items
* new CSV format: CSV format (a subformat of TXT format in the engine were using) that was not exposed in earlier versions of IMiS/OCR server is now available as the output format in the OCR settings
* new settings in existing output formats (RTF: size settings; HTML: use Unicode, JPEG quality; PDF: JPEG quality; TXT: append EOF symbol, text encoding)
* application redesign: old version needed a redesign to look more like current versions of other IMiS products
* Unicode support: ANSI-based IMiS/OCR server was upgraded to support Unicode
Bugfixes:
* rotated pages fix: rotated pages were not properly handled during recognition

- USB port for hardware protection key
- 1GB RAM (2GB or more recommended)
- 512MB disk space (1GB or more recommended)
- Using OCR Server with Domino infrastructure (MAIL & DATABASE job): minimum IBM Lotus Notes Client version 5.0.3 / 6.5.3 / 7.0.0 / 8.0 / 8.5 (NOT SUPPORTED: Versions 6.0.x incl. 6.0.3 / 6.5.x incl. 6.5.2); recommended IBM Lotus Notes Client version 5.0.13 / 6.5.6 / 7.0.4 / 8.0.2 / 8.5.x
