PDF format

PDF format section provides tuning parameters of recognized text export in PDF format.

Save mode: this option determines the mode in which PDF export is saved in the file (default: Text under the page image)
Options:

Text and pictures only: the recognized text is saved as text and the pictures as pictures. The original document design (font, background and layout marking) is not retained.
Text over the page image: the entire image is saved as a picture. Text areas are saved as text over the picture.
Text under the page image: the entire image is saved as a picture. The recognized text is put under it. This option is useful if you export your text to document archives: the full page layout is retained and the full-text search is available if you save in this mode.
Page image only: the entire image is saved as a picture.
Text only: The recognized text is saved as text. Pictures are not saved.

Retain text and background color: if selected this option specifies if original colors of text and background are retained during export of the recognized text in PDF format. It is only usable when the Save mode property is Text and pictures only otherwise the value of this property is ignored (default: Unchecked)

Replace uncertain words with images: if selected this option specifies if uncertainly recognized words will be replaced with their images during export in PDF format. You may use this property when Save mode property is Text and pictures only or Text over the page image otherwise the value of this property is ignored (default: Unchecked)

Picture format: specifies the image format to be used during export to a PDF file with embedded pictures
Options for binary pictures (default: CCITT4):

CCITT4: ZIP compression algorithm will be used during export.
JBIG2: JBIG2 compression algorithm will be used during export.

Options for gray pictures (default: JPEG Gray):

Automatic: format is defined automatically.
JPEG Gray: gray JPEG format.
JPEG 2000 Gray: gray JPEG 2000 format.
ZIP Gray: ZIP compression algorithm will be used during export in gray.
LZW Gray: LZW compression algorithm will be used during export in gray.
CCITT4: ZIP compression algorithm will be used during export.
JBIG2: JBIG2 compression algorithm will be used during export.

Options for color pictures (default: JPEG Color):

Automatic: format is defined automatically.
JPEG Color: color JPEG format.
JPEG Gray: gray JPEG format.
JPEG 2000 Color: color JPEG 2000 format.
JPEG 2000 Gray: gray JPEG 2000 format.
ZIP Color: ZIP compression algorithm will be used during export in color.
ZIP Gray: ZIP compression algorithm will be used during export in gray.
LZW Color: LZW compression algorithm will be used during export in color.
LZW Gray: LZW compression algorithm will be used during export in gray.
CCITT4: ZIP compression algorithm will be used during export.
JBIG2: JBIG2 compression algorithm will be used during export.

Picture resolution: stores the value of picture resolution (dpi) that is used for exporting pictures for PDF format (default: 200)

JPEG quality: stores the value of the JPEG quality for color pictures saved in HTML format in percent (default: 50)
