PDF/A format

PDF format section provides tuning parameters of recognized text export in PDF/A format. PDF/A is a long-term archiving format base on PDF and has two levels of compliance: PDF/A-1a which applies to semantic correctness and structure, and PDF/A-1b that applies to visual integrity of the document.



Save mode: this option determines the mode in which PDF/A export is saved in the file (default: Text under the page image)
Options:
Save as PDF/A-1a: specifies if the recognized text should be exported to PDF/A-1a format (default: Unchecked)

Picture format: specifies the image format to be used during export to a PDF/A file with embedded pictures
Options for binary pictures (default: CCITT4): Options for gray pictures (default: JPEG Gray): Options for color pictures (default: JPEG Color):
Picture resolution: stores the value of picture resolution in dpi, which is used for exporting pictures to PDF/A format (default: Preserve)

JPEG quality: stores the value of the JPEG quality for color pictures saved in PDF/A format in percent (default: 50)
