Using IMiS/Scan, users can store images on several ways:
a) like an ordinary .TIFF (or PDF) attachment into Notes document
b) as an ODMA attachment in Domino.Doc environment
c) as a link to an object, stored on IMiS/ARC storage server
d) as a link to a file, stored somewhere on file server.

IMiS/Scan have to be installed on every workstation with scanner. IMiS/View is required in cases "b", "c" and "d" if you don't have IMiS/Net (see below). IMiS/Scan ++ client has powerfull image processing (deskew, hole removal,..) and OCR features. IMiS/View ++ has OCR features.

IMiS/Net provides access to images stored on IMiS/ARC or somewhere else on file system/file server via Internet browser on OS/2, Linux, MacOS or Windows workstation without IMiS/View and without Notes Client at all. All you need to have on the client side is an image viewer that is able to handle standard TIFF G4 (multipage) or PDF files. IMiS/Net runs on Domino Server on NT and linux operating system.

IMiS/OCR Server runs as a service on Windows platform. It works as batch services. Users just needs to send an Email with .tif(s) as an attachment(s) to the server and they are getting results back to his/her mailbox. It's also possible to set IMiS/OCR Server to monitor specific Notes database, immediatelly process every new scanned documents. Latest addition to IMiS/OCR Server is the abillity to use it as webservice over HTTP protocol using SOAP standard.

IMiS/ICR Server & IMiS/ICR Client provides handprint recognition and presents the main "engine" for forms processing applications. SRC.SI worked on a project for Slovenian Ministry of Finance, Tax Department. The goal was to provide a system that will recognize about 70.000 forms every month. Till now, more than 120 financial experts work on data-entry up to 5 working days. With IMiS solution (parallel processing on ten workstations) everything could be done in 24 hours.

IMiS/ARC Server provides a substitute for LN:DI MSS as a hierarchical storage management (HSM) system. As a part of IMiS/ARC, we'll provide support for magneto-optical devices, supporting almost all jukeboxes and MO units from major vendors. For customers who wants to replace LN:DI MSS with IMiS/ARC, we do provide migration tools.

IMiS/Avalanche allows users to distribute scanned images to different storages based on job settings. Currently only image formats are supported. Two main "storages" are Domino application and Domino.Doc server.

IMiS/BatchScan With this batch scanning utility user can scan an arbitrary group of pages into a single or multipage documents with a custumable batch profiles. IMiS/BatchScan supports scanning with the following separators: fixed number of pages, blankpage and barcode separator. It also offers blankpage removal option and several diffrent image processing filters. Batch job info is saved into an XML description file, that can be also used with IMiS/Avalanche.

IMiS/Storage Connector is available as .NET and JAVA API and acts as an “intermediary” between the application server and the IMiS/ARChive Server. It is used when a “server-server” communication needs to be established or when the application server needs access to IMiS/ARChive Server. The communication is optimized to provide fast response times and high bandwidth.
