IMiS actions in Notes views

IMiS design template contains shared actions called View and IMiS Menu that can be used in any view in Domino application. It enables users to use some of IMiS functionallity from Notes view, without even opening Notes document.

The main difference to the actions in Notes documents is the scope. If multiple documents are selected in Notes view than actions will work on all IMiS objects in selected documents, not only IMiS objects from one Notes document. As you can see in the picture below user can open any IMiS object from 3 selected documents in view. If we are talking about View action, there is another important difference comparing to View action in document. IMiS objects opened from views action will be opened in READ ONLY mode because we can not check if user has edit rights on document. See

There are not all functions available in IMiS Menu action for the same reason. As you may see in the picture below, functions that my change content of the object are not available. But again, scope are all selected documents, so if you select for example Send all by e-mail function, IMiS objects from all selected documents will be attached in mail memo.
