Barcodes

Barcodes section allows administrator to enable/disable barcode recognition and accordingly enable/disable barcode blocks to be created during the page layout analysis.

Detect barcodes: check this option to enable barcode detection. If this property is unchecked barcodes may be detected as blocks of some other type (e.g. pictures) (default: Unchecked)

Type: use this options to specify types of barcode that should be recognized by OCR engine. Note: currently only 1D barcode types are supported by IMiS/OCR Server. 2D barcode types such as PDF417, Aztec and QR Code can be added upon request.
Options:

Autodetect: forces OCR engine to automatically detect the barcode type during recognition
Interleaved25: detect Interleaved 25 type barcode.
Check Interleaved25: detect Check Interleaved 25 type barcode (available with OCR Engine ver. 6.x).
Code 39: barcode in Code 39 standard.
Check Code39: barcode in Check Code 39 standard (available with OCR Engine ver. 6.x).
Code 128: barcode in Code 128 standard.
EAN 13: detect barcode in EAN 13 standard.
EAN 8: detect barcode in EAN 8 standard.
Codabar: detect barcode in Codabar standard.
UPC-E: detect barcode in UPC-E standard.
Industrial 2 of 5: detect barcode in Industrial 2 of 5 standard.
IATA 2 of 5: detect barcode in IATA 2 of 5 standard.
Matrix 2 of 5: detect barcode in Matrix 2 of 5 standard.
Code 93: detect barcode in Code 93 standard.
PostNet: detect barcode in PostNet standard.
UCC-128: detect barcode in UCC-128 standard.
UPC-A: detect barcode in UPC-A standard.

Orientation: use this options to specify desired barcode orientation
Options:

Autodetect: detect the barcode orientation automatically
Left to right: barcode is oriented from left to right
Right to left: barcode is oriented from right to left
Down to top: barcode is oriented from down to top
Top to down: barcode is oriented from top to down
