IMiS/Client issues with Lotus Notes as email client

Case: When using IMiS/Client and Lotus Notes as email client both must be running in same mode otherwise IMiS/Client cannot create emails to send an error report. This article describes what happens when one is run in elevated mode while the other is not.

Description:

When using Lotus Notes as mail client and trying to send error report with IMiS/Client runnig in elevated mode



an IBM Lotus Notes error dialog with error message "File "\Automation -Embedding.nsf" does not exist" appears



followed by a couple of Lotus Notes MailMan Error message boxes with "Access is denied" error.





In contrast, when running Lotus Notes 8.5.3 in elevated mode and trying to send error report with IMiS/Client




an IBM Lotus Notes error dialog with error message "Cannot complete operation. Notes is running but not responding. Please close and restart Notes." appears.




Solution is to run both applications in the same mode.
