"Unknown error" message pops out when scanning wih Kodak i1440

Case:
On scanning attempt with scanner Kodak i1440 the "Unknown error" message pops out.
Description:
The driver is from installation package version 3.09.
The cause is improper "Image edge fill" setting of the ISIS driver settings. The driver is natively using imperial units, so when we use metric units it recalculates the value to inch and it works properly only if we input an even number of centimeters. In case of odd number it throws out "Unknown error" message and scanning stops. When using imperial units, the error does not show up.
