IMiS API for Domino.Doc

Case:

Is there an API for the IMiS/Scan module? I've a couple of potential
Domino.Doc integrations with existing Notes Applications to consider, and
I'd like to be able to retrieve or create the relevant binder and then
trigger a scan operation to it in one operation. Can I pass any of the
Domino.Doc fields that IMiS/Scan presents to the user as parameters ?
