IMiS/Scan is using ISIS drivers, supporting about 300 different scanners (simplex and duplex with video or SCSI interfaces). We are supporting JBIG and CCITT/ITU G4 compression and all major graphics file formats (TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PCX, BMP,.... etc). It's also possible to use any TWAIN compatible scanner but we are recommending ISIS!

With IMiS/Scan, users can create & store images on four different ways:

like an ordinary .TIFF (or PDF) attachment into Notes document
as an ODMA attachment on Domino.Doc server
as a link to an object, stored on IMiS/ARC server (or LN:DI MSS server)
as a link to a file, stored somewhere on file server.

Additional functionalities (image processing, zonal and/or full document OCR) are bundled within IMiS/Scan ++.
It's also possible to perform OCR on scanned documents, created as PDF.
