Introducing IMiS/Storage Connector

IMiS/Storage Connector is a lightweight J2EE/.NET Application Server oriented client connector which provides access to IMiS/ARChive Storage Server to any J2SE/J2EE 1.4 (or higher) and .NET 2.0 (or higher) compatible applications. Its rich API object model gives trivial or complex applications access to a safe, reliable and HSM oriented storage repository. This approach doesn't add load on the RDMBS server and its resources which would store objects in blob containers but rather stores objects in a separate repository and storing just links to objects in RDMBS which makes the database fast and easy to manage.
Communication between IMiS/Storage Connector and IMiS/ARChive Storage Server repository is optimized to provide fast response times and high bandwidth utilization. It includes advanced constructs such as session pooling, streaming, security enabled operations (no requirements for access to file system, etc), access to multiple repositories etc. It can also be used in conjunction with other IMiS Imaging modules such as IMiS/Scan or IMiS/BatchScan where Imaging modules provide scanning capabilities to your web applications and IMiS/Storage Connector takes the role of stored object broker.
